King Jeongjo, the 22nd king of the Joseon Dynasty, moved the tomb of his father Crown Prince Sado to the foot of Mt* Hwasan in Suwon (current Taean-eup, Hwaseong-si) in 1789* The royal tomb visitation procession refers to King Jeongjo's visits to his father's tomb to worship him* King Jeongjo made 13 visits to Mt* Hwasan and the royal procession in February 1795 was the largest* This royal tomb procession is illustrated in "Wonhaeng Eulmyo Jeongni Uigwe" which is a compilation of royal visits and protocols in the Joseon Dynasty* The illustration shows that 1,505 people and 516 horses formed part of King Jeongjo's royal tomb procession* The actual number, however, was 5,661 people and 1,417 horses* The Re-enactment of King Jeongjo's Royal Tomb Visitation Procession and Happy Suwon Festival is held every year in October during the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival*

*Summary :
The re-enactment of King Jeongjo's royal procession was only held each year in October during the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival* In celebrating the 60th anniversary of being elevated to city status, Suwon developed a program in which 200 citizens can participate in the royal procession, as a way to develop Hwaseong into a global tourism city.

King Jeongjo's Royal Procession Participation Program aims to teach students about King Jeongjo's filial piety and people-oriented administration and to help them build moral character, and to better understand Suwon's history and to rediscover the importance of its value so as to build a brighter future*

Located at the peak of Mt Paldalsan, it is a symbol of Suwon. The Bell Tower is open to the public where visitors make a wish by tolling the bell.

"MUYE24KI" Team demonstrates the 24 martial arts explained in the book "Muyedobotongji" which was compiled in 1790 by the practical scholars who were Lee Deok-mu, Park Je-ga and the martial arts master, Baek Dong-su under the command of King Jeongjo* The 24 martial arts consisted of not only Korean traditional martial arts but also superior martial arts of China and Japan
